MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A beloved Mobile restaurant closes for good a day early. According to a Facebook post from Dick Russell’s BBQ, they had such a good turnout on Saturday that they sold out of food and won’t be able to open on Sunday.
They originally planned to have their last day of meal service on the 19th. In the post, they wrote “We are grateful for every day you have supported us. We are grateful for the love you have shown our employees. It will never be forgotten. We love y’all. “
The restaurant has had a 45-year run in Tillman’s Corner. Owner Jimmy Popple said it was time to call it quits because running a restaurant is a very difficult job…
