Mobile woman killed in Baldwin County crash

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – A Baldwin County crash involving two vehicles claimed the life of a Mobile woman who was standing in the roadway when she was hit, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 10 about a mile west of Loxley.

The woman, identified as Jasmine R. Harris, 19, of Mobile, was hit by a GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by a 22-year-old Lucedale, Mississippi, man. After hitting Harris, the pickup truck hit a Mitsubishi Mirage that was in the roadway after being involved in a prior crash, according to authorities.

ALEA said Harris had been a passenger in the Mitsubishi driven by an 18-year-old from Mobile. Harris got out and was standing in the roadway when the pickup truck hit her, ALEA said. She was pronounced dead at the scene…
