MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – It now has been 38 days since Honduran authorities placed Murray Farmer under house arrest for charges he insists are bogus.
A hearing for prosecutors to present evidence against the Mobile businessman ended Wednesday with another delay. While en route to the hearing Wednesday, Farmer reiterated his contention that he did nothing wrong and that the charges are a trumped-up effort by the government to avoid paying a $106 million civil judgment he won over failure to pay his former firm, DRC Inc.
“One thousand percent,” he told FOX10 News. “It’s all a pretext to not pay.”…
