MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A newly released 911 transcript and court documents are shedding new light on a deadly neighbor dispute on Mobile’s south side — revealing the confrontation was rooted in the killing of a dog sometime before the fatal shooting.
Mobile Police say John Howell, 46, shot and killed Jacob Griffith, 51, around 4:30 p.m. on April 24 on Roys Lane, just off Dauphin Island Parkway.
