Montgomery, AL — (NBC 15) — An Alabama appeals court on Friday upheld the capital murder conviction and death sentence of a man who fatally shot a Mobile police officer while trying to avoid arrest.
The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the conviction of Marco Antonio Perez in the 2019 killing of Officer Sean Tuder, rejecting multiple claims raised in his automatic appeal.
