MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A recent hantavirus outbreak on a cruise ship off the coast of Cape Verde has renewed attention on the rare but potentially fatal disease.
Dr. Ben Kimbell, a family medicine resident with Accordia Health, said the virus carries a high mortality rate.
