Iowa-based convenience store chain Casey’s has expanded into another Southern state. According to news site AL.com, the nation’s third-largest convenience retailer recently opened stores in former CEFCO locations in Alabama.
Casey’s now operates gas stations in Loxley, Mobile, Axis, and Foley, with another one on the way in Gulf Shores. While Casey’s has long been present in the middle of the country, the company has worked its way east into West Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, and now Alabama.
Casey’s is well-known in the Midwest, where it is often located in small towns. The convenience store started out as a general store and gas station in 1968.
