MPD investigates acts of violence in separate cases

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Mobile Police Department reported is investigating multiple acts of violence resulting in arrests in recent days in separate cases, including several involving domestic violence.

It was early Friday, at about 2:37 a.m., when officers responded to The Estates at Lafayette Square at 900 Downtowner Blvd. for a case police said involved domestic violence strangulation or suffocation, unlawful imprisonment and interference with a domestic violence emergency call.

The officers discovered a female victim was involved in a physical altercation with a known man. They said the man, who they identified as 38-year-old Solomon Curry, took the victim’s cell phone and keys and would not let her leave the location. The victim was able to retrieve her phone eventually and call 911. Curry was arrested.

On Saturday at about 5:32 p.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of Roosevelt Avenue in reference to a domestic assault. They reported finding a female victim with a non-life-threatening injury. She refused medical transport on scene. According to police, a known male subject cut the victim during a fight. Albert Moseley Jr., 49, was arrested…
