MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said today it is investigating the death on Friday of a jail inmate.
About 3:30 a.m. Friday, jail staff notified the sheriff’s office that 33-year-old Dextarius Tierre Earies had died while he was in the Mobile County Metro Jail’s medical clinic.
The sheriff’s office said detectives with the MCSO Major Crimes Unit responded to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
