MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man from California has been sentenced for his role in a money laundering conspiracy and providing false testimony.

According to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Southern District of Alabama, 58-year-old Mohammed Zohair Adi was sentenced to 180 months in prison for his charges. He must also pay a $50,000 fine and serve three years of parole following his release.
Court documents show that Adi laundered millions of dollars connected to a drug trafficking organization. The organization reportedly transported 1,000 kilograms of marijuana from California to Alabama on commercial flights…
