Semi-truck overturns on Interstate 5 in Glenn County, driver suffers minor injuries

WILLOWS, Calif. — A semi-truck driver survived an early morning rollover crash on Interstate 5 after witnesses say he was driving recklessly at speeds over 80 mph.

Gurshanpreet Singh, 27, of Lathrop, was driving a Freightliner truck pulling a semi box trailer loaded with lumber southbound on Interstate 5 in Glenn County, south of Willows, just south of County Road 37 at approximately 1:34 a.m. Saturday. According to the California Highway Patrol, Singh was in the left lane, passing another truck in a sweeping right curve at an estimated speed over 65 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.
