A second person has died following a fiery three-vehicle crash Saturday night on Ladd Road north of Modesto that investigators believe was caused by a speeding Porsche driver who may have been under the influence of alcohol.
Jon Burgess, 38, of Manteca, died Sunday at UC Davis Medical Center after suffering major injuries in the collision, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. California Highway Patrol spokesperson Officer Aaron Fay confirmed Tuesday that Burgess died the day after the crash.
The crash has now claimed two lives. The driver of the Porsche, a 57-year-old Modesto man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office has not yet publicly identified him…
