The San Joaquin County Historical Museum will hold a grand opening for its new Pioneer Village on Saturday.
The grand opening celebration will kick off at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at the San Joaquin County Historical Museum at 11793 Micke Grove Road in Lodi. This will be the new home of the museum’s award-winning Valley Days and Pioneer School education programs, the news release states.
“The Pioneer Village project has been a dream of the San Joaquin County Historical Museum and its Docent Council since the earliest days of the Valley Days and Pioneer School programs. For sixty years, the San Joaquin County Historical Museum has worked to preserve, share, and celebrate the diverse histories of our county and to inspire future generations toward continued greatness,” a San Joaquin County Historical Museum news release states. “We are confident that the Pioneer Village will allow us to continue this important work on an even greater scale.”
Bluegrass, giveaways, pioneer demos highlight opening
