TRACY, Calif — Students in the Tracy Unified School District returned to school Monday with new rules restricting cellphone use in classrooms.
Starting this school year, the district is implementing a phone-free classroom policy in accordance with a new state law that took effect last month.
School district cellphone policies are not new. Several local districts have already restricted phone use during the school day.
