(FOX40.COM) — The tire fire burning at a recycling center near Turlock could continue burning for a week, and officials are warning residents to take precautions as weather conditions could trap smoke close to the ground.
Merced County issued a public health alert — the county’s highest level of health notice — on Tuesday. In the alert, officials urged residents near the fire to “reduce their exposure to potentially unhealthy air.”
