A Merced County jury on Tuesday returned a guilty verdict for a Ceres man who was accused o murdering his romantic partner, the Merced County District Attorney’s office announced Wednesday.
Carlos Fred Romo was convicted of second-degree murder in the case stemming from February 2023, in which a 37-year-old Ceres woman was killed.
