The worker killed Friday when a trench collapsed at a worksite near Hickman has been identified as Pablo Gómez, 34, of Ceres, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
Gómez was trapped underground when a large trench collapsed while an excavation crew was working Friday morning, according to the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District.
