(FOX40.COM) — Two teenagers were arrested in Stockton early Monday morning after an overnight car chase and on-foot pursuit.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over a car near Eighth Street and Pock Lane. The driver, 19-year-old Michael Cornejonery, didn’t stop and led deputies on a chase.
After a roughly two-mile pursuit, Cornejonery lost control of the car near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Airport Way. He and the passenger, a 15-year-old male, attempted to flee on foot, but deputies “quickly” apprehended the two.
Deputies searched the vehicle that the two suspects left behind and found a rifle with a 30-round magazine loaded with 5.56 ammunition…
