Vehicle Slams Into House Near Oakdale, Multiple Patients Rushed to Local Hospitals for Care
Saturday morning turned chaotic for emergency crews across Stanislaus County, and one call stood out from the rest. A vehicle crashed directly into a home near Oakdale, and for a few tense minutes, first responders weren’t sure how many people they’d find inside.
What Happened
The crash happened around 9:25 a.m. along Highway 120 near Lon Dale Road, just north of Oakdale. Multiple engine, truck, rescue, and medic units were sent to the scene.
Initial reports suggested as many as five people were hurt, serious enough that crews declared a mass-casualty incident before even arriving.
A Fast, Coordinated Response
On scene, the picture became clearer. One person was trapped inside the vehicle itself, while another was found inside the home that had been struck.
Crews worked to extricate the trapped patient and treated everyone on site before three people were taken to local hospitals for further care. No word yet on what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.
This wasn’t the only serious call that day. Just half an hour earlier, a pedestrian was struck in a crosswalk near Modesto Junior College, and hours later, a juvenile was flown to a pediatric trauma center after a separate crash on Crows Landing Road. Three injury crashes in one county, in one day.
