Members of San Joaquin County criminal gang were indicted this week on suspicion of trafficking firearms as part of a wide-ranging federal investigation, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.
Four members of the Varrio Mojado Sureno gang, or VMS, were indicted for alleged conspiracy to traffic firearms, prosecutors said Wednesday. All four men are Lodi residents: Angelo Contreras, 24, Felix Saenz, 19, Luke Phillips, 25, and Victor Ramos-Ayala, 19.
