A motorcyclist was badly injured when struck from behind Sunday on Highway 99 in Ceres, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision was reported at about 10:50 a.m. on southbound 99 north of Service Road.
The motorcyclist, a 61-year-old Turlock man, was riding at about 70 mph when an SUV rear-ended the bike, ejecting the man. He suffered major wounds — a Modesto Fire incident summary noted a “severe leg injury” — and was taken to a local hospital…
