Woman and child in Salida crosswalk seriously hurt when hit by vehicle, CHP says

Two pedestrians, including a child, suffered serious injuries when struck by a vehicle at a Salida intersection Thursday night, the California Highway Patrol reported. The crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. at Magnolia and Broadway avenues.

The pedestrians, a woman and a 9-year-old boy, were taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening, according to a CHP spokesperson.

The woman was taken to Memorial Medical Center and the child to Doctors Medical Center…
