Compassionate releasee in San Joaquin County arrested again on weapons charges

(FOX40.COM) — A man who was released from prison through California’s compassionate release process was arrested again on weapons charges, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office.

SCSO said 57-year-old Steven Rodriguez was sentenced to 20 years in prison on attempted murder charges involving law enforcement after a 2017 ambush-style shooting targeting Stockton police officers.
