(FOX40.COM) — A Tracy man convicted in a violent 2022 attack on an AMPM store employee was sentenced to life in prison plus 14 years and eight months, according to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office.
The office said Rene Vega was sentenced May 4 after a jury found him guilty of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated mayhem, attempted robbery and criminal threats stemming from the assault on May 21, 2022.
