Missing alert issued for Alabama teen believed to be in danger

(NewsNation) — Authorities in central Alabama are seeking the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old boy who went missing Tuesday.

Liam Hathcock was last seen in Tallassee on June 16 at around 3:40 p.m., according to an alert issued by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Authorities believe the boy is in danger, but haven’t provided further details.

His family said on social media that K-9 Units, drones and search crews are actively involved in the search, AL.com reported.

Hathcock is described as a white male, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities also noted that he has multiple scratch marks below his left ear.
