MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Baptist Health says Baptist Medical Center South has been verified by the Alabama Department of Public Health as a Level 1 Trauma Center — the highest trauma designation in the state.
The designation makes Baptist South one of only four Level 1 Trauma Centers in Alabama and the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Central Alabama, hospital leaders said.
