RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Agencies started assisting with search and recovery operations after a boater went missing in Lake Wedowee on Friday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
A flat-bottomed boat hit a submerged stump at around 5:10 p.m. Friday. The crash happened near the Big River area.
The boat’s operator and a passenger were ejected into the water. The operator was recovered shortly after the crash. He was taken to a hospital in Marietta, Georgia, for treatment…
