MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A well-known nonprofit in Montgomery is working to address crime concerns after a violent weekend in the city.
Montgomery police reported seven incidents of violence over the weekend, resulting in four deaths. Leaders with the Family Guidance Center say the spike is a reminder of why community-based prevention and intervention work is needed, especially immediately after violence occurs.
The Family Guidance Center has served Montgomery for more than 65 years, offering support and resources to families in a variety of areas, including services that can help prevent violence.
