MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Families who have lost someone to violence gathered for an annual Crime Victims’ Rights Week event hosted by Victims of Crime and Leniency, also known as VOCAL, aimed at connecting survivors with support services and giving them space to remember those they’ve lost.
“I wish none of us had a reason to be here today, but we do,” Pete Durham, the father of a crime victim, said.
