Warm & breezy Monday | FIRST ALERT for two rounds of storms Tuesday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Monday morning. Generally cloudy skies and mild temperatures will start off the new work and school week, visibility is much better than yesterday morning.

Today is partly cloudy and muggy with high temperatures warming into the low to middle 80s. Winds are going to be breezy from the southeast with gusts between 20 to 30 miles per hour through the day. A few isolated showers may develop before midnight.

Tuesday is a 48 First Alert Weather Day for TWO rounds of potentially stronger storms, one in the morning and another during the evening. A cluster of heavy rainfall and a few stronger embedded storms will move in as early as midnight and will track east through the early morning hours Tuesday. The biggest concern with the early morning round of storms will be brief stronger wind gusts. Locally heavy rainfall, small hail and lightning will also be expected. The heaviest and most widespread rainfall should be moving to the east by roughly 6AM…
