HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Tuesday morning. Today is a 48 First Alert Weather Day for two rounds of potentially strong to severe storms.
The morning starts off on an active note as we are tracking scattered to numerous showers and storms tracking from the northwest to southeast. Most of these storms will remain below severe criteria but will still be capable of producing some 30+ mph wind gusts, small hail, heavy rainfall and frequent lightning. Pockets of heavier rainfall will lead to poor visibility and some ponding on roads for your morning commute.
Rain showers and storms will track off to the south by mid-morning leaving us a touch cooler in the 60s for the early part of the day under cloudy skies. Some clearing is expected into the afternoon with high temperatures warming into the upper 70s to lower 80s, it will also be a very humid day across the Tennessee Valley. Winds are breezy from the southwest through the day with gusts between 15 to 25 miles per hour…
