Rabies Alert: Fox attacks woman in Elmore County; Lee County raccoon tests positive

AUBURN, Ala. (WRBL) — The Alabama Department of Public Health is warning East Alabama residents to make sure pets are vaccinated after two animals in the region tested positive for rabies.

According to ADPH, a raccoon in Lee County near Auburn and a fox in Elmore County near Tallassee were both confirmed to have rabies.
