How you can help beagles rescued from research facility as they make a stop in Alabama

Beagles rescued from Ridglan Farms, a testing facility in Wisconsin, are on their way to new homes after a recent protest led to their sale to animal welfare groups.

Although the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported some of the 1,500 dogs are coming to Big Dog Ranch in Alabama, a person who answered the phone at the ranch said they will stop here only temporarily.

About 30 dogs will arrive at the ranch in Shorter, Ala., today and tomorrow but will not be available for adoption there, said the woman, who asked not to be named. The dogs are being transferred to shelters in North Florida and Texas…
