CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The construction company fighting the federal government over its removal from the Chickamauga Lock project has now officially notified Tennessee that 183 workers are affected by the fallout.
Shimmick Construction Company filed the notice with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development on Tuesday:
The permanent closure began May 12th, and will continue through June 5th, according to the WARN notice filed with Tennessee’s Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
