Wilson County residents, leaders oppose potential county sites for Lebanon sewer plant

About 100 Wilson County residents packed Lebanon City Hall on May 27 to oppose the use of Wilson County land for a future City of Lebanon sewer plant amid debate on a future location.

The residents voiced their opposition during the Lebanon Wastewater Treatment Plant Site Selection Committee meeting. The committee will recommend no less than three potential sites for a future wastewater treatment plant to replace the current 60-year-old plant on Hartmann Drive, which operates at around 80 percent capacity.
