The Murfreesboro Police Department’s Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating two fatal crashes that happened over the weekend in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The victims have been identified.

The first crash involved Terry Sague, a 76-year-old from Castalian Springs. He was struck by a car while on his recumbent bike at a crosswalk. The incident happened at the intersection of Joe Knight Drive and Medical Center Parkway on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Another recumbent bike rider was injured and is stable in a local hospital. The driver of the car, a 2020 Lexus RC3, was unharmed and charges may be pending.

Initial findings suggest the Lexus driver swerved onto the sidewalk, hitting two bike riders. The car then struck a pedestrian crosswalk pole and a tree. Investigators are seeking witnesses to the crash. Anyone in the area at the time is asked to contact Officer Carlie Coe.

In another incident, Dylan Wilson, a 24-year-old from Smyrna, died when his motorcycle hit the back of a 2022 Tesla sedan. This crash also happened on Saturday, February 3, 2024, on NW Broad Street. Another motorcyclist was injured after colliding with the same car and is stable. The Tesla driver was unharmed.
