Police: Drone catches man waving Glock switch through Myrtle Beach Memorial Day crowd

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police arrested a man after drone operators caught him waving a Glock switch, an illegal fully automatic weapon, through a packed Myrtle Beach crowd during Memorial Day weekend.

Myrtle Beach police drone operators around 10:21 p.m. Saturday were in the area of Withers Alley and 9th Avenue North.

The operators saw 23-year-old Trevion Schofield waving a Glock 45 ACP with a drum magazine around in front of the public, a police report stated.

Officers tried to stop Schofield, but he ran away and was later taken into custody in Withers Alley behind Ripley’s Crazy Golf, according to the report…
