Alleged kidnapping attempt of child at Plyler Park happened during family pictures, report shows

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – New police reports reveal an alleged kidnapping attempt at a popular Myrtle Beach park unfolded while a family was posing for photos.

Amanda Dudney, 40, is charged with kidnapping and cited for public disorderly conduct.

Myrtle Beach police responded just before 6:30 p.m. to Plyler Park at 1000 N. Ocean Blvd. on May 18 for a suspicious call.

Two family members told police that while they were taking family photos, Dudney approached, grabbed a stroller with a child in it and started walking away, according to a police report…
