Myrtle Beach’s $384.1 million FY27 budget contains no new taxes, but water-sewer rates to increase

Myrtle Beach City Council unanimously passed the first reading of its fiscal year 2026-27 budget Tuesday, May 26.

The budget proposed is $384,112,568, containing a 6.5% increase from the fiscal year 2025-26 budget.

There is no property tax increase proposed, but there is a reduction in the Tourism Development Fee (TDF) credit for homeowners from 67.45% to 53.4%…
