The waiting is over for Horry County Councilwoman Jenna Dukes — and it was a long one.
In its upcoming Fiscal 2027 budget, the Horry County Council approved the moving of $3.5 million back to Little River for waterfront improvements. That brings the amount of restored funding to $7 million.
“I think it is fantastic,” said Dukes, who represents the North Strand. “It’s been a long time coming. We’ve worked very hard for the last three and a half years to move it back after it was re-allocated just after I got elected, before I was able to take office.”…
