Very hot and humid

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — It is a mild start to the morning with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are starting in the low to mid-70s, and the heat and humidity will continue to soar this afternoon. Temperatures will be slightly warmer than what we saw yesterday, with highs in the mid-80s along the coast and the lower 90s inland. Dew points are very high, so it is going to feel much hotter than the actual air temperature. The heat index today will range from 95 to 99°.

A weak cold front will arrive later today, bringing us one day of relief with slightly cooler temperatures tomorrow. There will be an isolated shower or two around the Pee Dee this evening, followed by a few scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, but not everyone will see rain.

High temperatures tomorrow will be in the lower 80s at the beaches and around 90 degrees inland. High pressure will build back in and remain in control from Wednesday through the rest of the week, allowing above-average temperatures to continue through the weekend…
