Detective arrested after drawing gun on officer who microwaved fish in break room, officials say

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A former South Carolina police officer was arrested after he pointed a gun at a coworker in the department’s break room, officials said.

Detective Michael DeBiase, formerly of the Myrtle Beach Police Department, confronted another officer May 30 about warming up fish in the microwave, causing an odor in the office, according to the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division.
