HORRY COUNTY S.C. (WPDE) — A long-discussed plan to create a new road connection in southern Horry County that could tie into the Carolina Bays Parkway moved forward Tuesday as county leaders advanced an updated agreement with a major home developer.
Horry County Council approved the second reading of an ordinance that progresses a development agreement with Pulte Homes to build a new roadway inside the developer’s tract of land. The agreement allows for construction of a connector linking Carolina Bays Parkway with Highway 17 Bypass near Surfside Beach.
