PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WBTW) — Emotions boiled over Wednesday night in Pawleys Island, where a local pastor faced a crowd of angry parents to answer questions about how a 70-year-old registered sex offender was allowed to volunteer at the church’s school.
Warren Perry was arrested on Tuesday in Georgetown County and accused of violating his parole by volunteering at the Pawleys Island Christian Academy, which opened in 2001. The school, operated by the Pawleys Island Community Church, offers programs for children from 6 weeks old through kindergarten.
