MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Areas west of I-95 saw some early morning showers and thunderstorms, helping temperatures start a little cooler in the lower 70s. That rain didn’t make it to the coast or even to Florence, where conditions remain very mild with temperatures already starting in the 80s.
Humidity will be extremely high over the next few days, and a Heat Advisory is back in effect. High temperatures will reach the lower 90s along the coast and the mid 90s inland, with feels-like temperatures ranging from 101 to 105 degrees. Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon.
We’ll stay in this pattern through Wednesday before a stronger cold front arrives on Thursday. That front will bring temperatures back closer to normal levels. By the end of the workweek, highs will be in the upper 80s along the beaches and the low 90s inland.
