Settlement reached in lawsuit over child’s arm stuck in Horry County school bus door

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The mother of a child whose arm got stuck in a Horry County school bus door said she is closing a traumatic chapter for her family.

The Bailey Law Firm announced Tuesday that Stephanie Floyd-McInnis has settled her 2024 lawsuit against Horry County Schools and former HCS bus driver Thomas Interlandi for $175,000.
