ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke City Police Chief Scott Booth was named a top candidate for another police chief position in Myrtle Beach, S.C., according to a Myrtle Beach City release.
Three other finalists are vying for the role:
- Nicholas Augustine – assistant chief of police in Montgomery County, Md.
- Frederick Chambers – deputy chief of police in Fairfax County, Va.
- Phillip Rathbun – deputy chief of police in Aurora, Colo.
“The quality of this applicant pool speaks volumes about the Myrtle Beach Police Department and our city,” said Jonathan “Fox” Simons, Jr., city manager of Myrtle Beach. “That level of interest reflects the reputation of this department and the competitive nature of this position. We are confident these four finalists represent the most experienced candidates to lead the Myrtle Beach Police Department into its next chapter.”
