MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Humidity continues to climb as we head into the weekend. Increasing moisture will lead to the return of storm chances by Sunday and continuing into next week.
THIS WEEKEND
The humidity becomes noticeable through the weekend as the heat index climbs back to near 100° on Saturday. Highs will climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s.
While most areas will stay dry on Saturday, a few very isolated showers or storms may develop inland where a 20% chance of rain exists for the afternoon.
Even more humidity arrives by Sunday and with it, a better chance of pop up storms. The day will not be a washout – the best chance of downpours and a storm will be from the morning to midday hours for the Grand Strand and then into the afternoon and evening hours inland…
