CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — Halloween is coming early to downtown Conway, where teams will race homemade, human-powered “coffins” through the streets during the 2nd annual Graveyard Grand Prix Coffin Races.
Hosted by the Conway Chamber of Commerce, the event is set to be held Saturday, Oct. 17, starting at 10 a.m. in historic downtown Conway. Organizers say the Halloween-themed event will include high-energy races, creative costumes, family-friendly activities and entertainment for all ages.
Spectators will be able to watch teams compete in head-to-head heats. The event is also expected to feature local food trucks, Halloween-themed vendors, kids activities, Graveyard Grand Prix T-shirts, and spooky performers and music…
