CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – A GoFundMe has been set up for two Coastal Carolina University students hit by a vehicle in a hit-and-run that left one student dead and another in critical condition.
Jason Knowles, organizer of the GoFundMe for the CCU students, said, “I’m purely doing this out of the love I have for my daughter and the love that she has for those girls.”
Conway police say 17-year-old Mauricio Palafox-Correa was the driver. He is charged with felony DUI and two counts of hit-and-run with great bodily injury. He is being held without bond at J. Reuben Long Detention Center…
